In recent times the ANU Medical School has established a tradition of entering teams in public sporting events which are aimed at raising money for charity. We do so in scrubs in order to identify ourselves as belonging to the ANU Medical School, and more generally to the medical profession. We believe it is important for medical professionals to be involved in charitable medical causes and also to be fit i.e. to practise as we preach.
