Jelly Beans

Representing:

A group of family and friends having a fun day out for a good cause. Some of us water-ski together, some scrapbook and do card-making, some became friends through our children, or met through work and we all just like socialising together

The team has changed slightly from previous regattas as we’ve had a few people drop out; so the team now includes our “jellybabies” Nearly every jellybean paddling today has our oldest jellybaby paddling with us this time – they range from age 14 to 17. Our t-shirts have changed this year as we now have a sponsor – Yay!

We bought our coloured swimming caps to match our coloured t-shirts to go along with our jellybean theme, however there has been some dissent amongst the jellybeans as some believe we look more like a boat full of coloured condoms than jellybeans!!

Ours is a multicoloured uniform so we look like a boat full of jellybeans with some pink accessories to promote the breast cancer awareness. We even have a supply of jellybeans to boost our energy on race day. (Don’t tell anyone, this could be our secret weapon!)

We just want to say thankyou to the lovely ladies who gave their time to provide our training – Gillian & June. We have had great fun so far and are really looking forward to a fun-filled race day and hopefully not ending up in the lake.
