Awards

Winner of the Pink Lady Shield for the fastest team : Cross Fit Base, for the second time running. Congratulations CrossFit !

1st place with a time of 1:07.97 : Crossfit Base (http://www.crossfitbase.com.au/)

2nd place with a time of 1:08.43 : CISAC Water Warriors (Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre)

3rd place with a time of 1:09.47 : Burly Gryphons (National Capital Authority)

Email webmaster@dragonsabreast.com.au to inform that photos have been sent to the above address.
Webmaster will then create an album of these photographs.
This album will be placed on the ACT corporate regatta gallery, and on the main gallery at http://www.dragonsabreast.com.au/Gallery.htm

Corporate and social crews competed in the 9th Dragons Abreast Dragon Boat Regatta on 23 October 2010. Teams had a huge amount of fun paddling together and promoting themselves to the Canberra community. A great day for spectators as well!

The event raises much needed funds for breast cancer organisations locally and nationally, including Dragons Abreast Australia. If you would like to support one of the teams, or an individual, in this regatta, please see the event sponsorship site

regatta Team Agreement

Team Requirements

Two free training sessions are offered as part of the lead up to the regatta.

Mixed teams – must have a minimum of 8 women paddlers (excluding drummer & sweep who can be provided for you.)

Womens teams – all women (excluding drummer and sweep).

No more than four competitive (ie from a sports team) paddlers on a team. Competitive paddlers must be part, or associated with, the organisation.

Your organisation may enter two teams; however each team must meet the above requirements with no paddler ‘doubling up’ by participating in more than one team/boat.

Team lists to have 20 paddlers plus up to 4 alternates.

CDBA is able to provide sweeps and drummers as required.
