CHRISTMAS IN JULY
A very merry mid-winter Christmas was enjoyed by Dragons Abreast members from Northern Territory, Queensland, Canberra, Central Coast and AusDBF members from Sydney at the EcoPoint Myall Shores Resort on 21 July.
Most people began arriving on the Friday and although the rain was relentless, the atmosphere was warm and happy with lots of DA anoraks emerging through the mist! The dinner on Saturday was plentiful and, as always, the staff enthusiastic and welcoming.
Margo Lynne-Lee from Dragons Abreast, Sydney, challenged us all with a rather difficult Christmas trivia exercise and interspersed this with fun and gifts for the children present. Her assistant was a very friendly reindeer aka Michelle Hanton! There was opportunity for three members of Abreast in Australia Committee to meet and lots of opportunity for everyone to explore the surrounding areas of Myall Lakes.
Blue skies, calm waters reflecting the blue sky and warm sun made it very difficult to leave this tranquil haven far from the madding crowd!
