To register for the Dragons Abreast Hospital Dragon Boat Challenge, please fill in and submit the form below. You will then be taken to a secure area of Westpac Bank where you can safely enter your credit card details and complete your donation. All gifts of $2.00 and more are tax deductable. A receipt for taxation purposes will be posted to you.

As a participant in the Dragons Abreast Hospital Dragon Boat Challenge Race I understand and undertake to be bound by the Conditions of Entry as described below (yes/no)

Conditions of Entry:

  • All participants are asked to attend the safety drill session prior to the event. The practice/safety sessions will be advised. Venue will be Banks Street, Pyrmont under the Anzac Bridge Pylon – just past the Sydney Fish Market – some parking is available but car pooling is strongly recommended. This drill will be conducted by Dragons Abreast Sydney. If absolutely unable to attend this session please phone Cynthia Kuiper on 9449 6855 to arrange an alternate time.
  • While the practice/training/safety sessions will be held in Pyrmont prior to the event, the actual race will take place at Darling Harbour on February 17th, 2008.
  • Abide by the race rules and requirements of the event organisers whose decision in all matters relating thereto and to the suitability and eligibility of applicants is final and binding.
  • Every participant will be covered by personal accident insurance offered by DBNSW Inc.
  • Waiver any claim on the event organisers which may otherwise arise from personal injury or death and damage arising from or caused by participation in the competition.
  • Reimburse the event organisers for any damages or losses caused by the entrant to equipment provided by the event organisers.
  • Utilise only equipment and fittings provided or required by the event organisers. (Paddles will be supplied)
  • All teams will be provided with a DBNSW accredited sweep and a drummer.
  • Every member of the paddling team must be able to swim 50 metres or otherwise wear a Personal Flotation Device (which will be available on the day, if prearranged).
  • This is a ‘fun’ race – no protests will be allowed and teams can be of any mix of gender and age composition.
  • All participants are reminded that the organizers are not responsible for participants’ valuables.
